Congratulations to the new family

I am finally catching my breath from the whirlwind that has been the past couple of weeks. 
Keep checking back because I have the sweetest newborn to share with you
and a session with some of the cutest cousins I have seen!

Here are a few of my favorites from a wonderful family session I had in Annapolis.
This family was similar to my own, as I am also an oldest child with much younger siblings.
Seeing these sisters play around together and enjoy a different sibling bond than many
with siblings close in age was dear to my heart!

I had the chance to do a session with this beautiful teenage girl in Baltimore on Saturday.  She glowed in the evening light!  Happy Sweet 16 Erica!

This was a FUN group!

I was so thrilled to get to assist a photographer friend of mine, Kelly, at a wedding this past weekend- she is in the Germantown area and you can find her blog at http://kelphoto.typepad.com/.  Wendy and Sherman, the bride and groom, are the most fun couple, and their wedding was such a wonderful celebration of what is a very talented and adventurous couple.  I loved watching their slideshow featuring many of their travels around the world.

Wendy’s shoes- aren’t they great?!

My 2 year old daughter likes to put on my heels and grab a purse and announce “I am a beautiful mommy”.  And I tell her- yes, you are, all mommies are beautiful.

While I think that is true, this mommy to be that I photographed yesterday at Robert E Lee park is certainly one of the most beautiful moms to be I have seen!  At 38 weeks pregnant, she was radiant even in the late afternoon of a long day complete with the standard Baltimore humidity.  Dad to be was wonderfully attentive and the love between this couple was plain to see!  Here are some peaks at the maternity session:

The blog is usually just for sneak peeks at photos, and I don’t normally post more than a few, but because I know these are so highly anticipated I will make an exception ;)  Here are a few more!

Blur in a photo isn’t usually a good thing because it means the photo is out of foucs,
but sometimes it is intentional to show motion- I love the motion in this photo, of
both Diesel’s shaking off and the laughter!

Love just the hint at the facial expression here- the emotion is in the shadows sometimes.

On one of the hottest days so far (we started at 9am and it was still unbearable!)
I had the chance to have a portrait party with 3 of my former coworkers. 
I could not have been happier to see them and their families!

I was so happy to hear that Gaby was pregnant last year- with her sweet and kind
personality I knew she would be a great mommy.  And she is!

I am a lucky photographer- I get to photograph so many gorgeous kiddos and
Mr. S is no exception- those eyes, you could just fall into them!

Megan, Ernie and their baby Diesel- I have a soft spot for pitties,
and this one was a sweetie, for sure! 
I love these- just hanging out and loving on the puppy.

This handsome little boy- the last time I saw him in person he was just over a year old,
and now he is so grown up.  He pulled out his mommy’s camera and snapped some of his own pics!

And with his mommy and daddy, Vivian and Britt- I just love them, they are the most fun parents!
